Five Nights at Freddy’s movie outline: extra features:

Here is listed a few extras that would have been added once the two films were released on DVD and/or Blu-Ray.

Short films (second movie only):

The man behind the slaughter:

This one takes place in the original location from the first movie. It shows that while the animatronics were performing, a security guard named Patrick Mann is seen repairing a disabled Puppet. Suddenly, a kid brushes past him, causing the guard to accidentally tear one of the wires inside the Puppet’s head. Looking up, Patrick sees a kid standing outside the restaurant crying. Going outside, he learns the youngster got separated from its mother; the guard tries to help, but is unable to stop the child’s crying. Losing his temper, Patrick accidentally strikes the kid, who falls to the ground bleeding.

It’s later revealed that the kid was anemic and Patrick’s action caused the child to die from internal bleeding. As Frank Fazbear hands Patrick his pink slip, a now activated Puppet is seen staring at them, with white dots appearing in its eyes.

The creation of Springtrap:

This takes place between the two films. On a rainy night, a police car is seen parked near the abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, with the radio announcing that the “child murderer” known as Patrick “Purple” Mann has escaped from prison. The short then cuts to Mann running through a field with flashlights not too far behind. Finally, the former guard reaches the pizzeria, where he beings to “finish what I started.” Patrick does so by dismantling the animatronics one by one until he hears a groaning sound coming from nearby. Shining a flashlight, he sees the toy animatronics (who are in great disrepair) limp towards him. The former guard runs through the pizzeria until he finds a wall that’s partially torn down, revealing a secret room with a faded Bonnie costume. After tearing the rest of the wall down, Patrick hides in the costume (after cranking the spring-locks) and sees the toys stop at the walkway.

Suddenly, an eerie version of “I’ve got no strings” starts emitting through the room. The line, “But now I’m free” is heard from the darkness, which gives way to reveal a badly charred Puppet just as the music ends. The animatronic shoves its arm into the suit and breaks the safety valve, causing the spring-locks to fail. Just as Patrick Mann dies, the Puppet whispers, “There are no strings on me,” and laughs as the scene fades to black.

Deleted scenes (first movie):

Phone Guy tapes:
The tapes from nights 3 and 4 (see the main article to see)

Puppet still alive:
In what was supposed to be a post-credits scene, we see the oven where the Puppet was burned. Inside is the charred animatronic, whose eye sockets begin to faintly glow.

Deleted scenes (second movie):

Springtrap death:
Right after Mike and Jeremy escape the destruction of Fazbear’s Fright, a burning Springtrap emerges from the blazing ruins. Just before it reaches them, the animatronic collapses and a light emerges from the suit. The light transforms into “Purple” Mann, who nods to the two guards, seemingly thanking them for freeing his spirit, before vanishing.

Springtrap lives:
In a post-credits scene, the rubble of Fazbear’s Fright is seen. Suddenly, a faded gold hand bursts through the wreckage, followed by a gravelly laugh.

Toy animatronics death:
While Fredrick Scott prepares to trigger the gas main, the toy animatronics are seen scattered across the room; Toy Freddy lies half-melted, while Toy Bonnie has been crushed by falling debris, and Toy Chica is shown to have her legs ripped off and is leaking oil. As she tries to drag herself towards the businessman, she collapses and the white dots in her eyes vanish, showing she has “died”. The building then explodes before cutting to black.

Mangle scene:
Jeremy is shown walking to a corner when he sees Mangle’s fox head mounted on a wall. Suddenly, radio static is heard from its mouth with the phrase “10-1” being faintly audible. The young guard chuckles and says, “Bad reception, huh?”
A little addition to my previous outlines.

The Birth of Springtrap draws inspiration from the teaser trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
