Five Nights at Freddy’s short films (film ideas)

These serve as both a prequel (which takes place before the first three movies) and a midquel (which takes place between movies 1 and 2). They tie everything together.

Short 1:

The beginning takes place in 1983, before all the films begin. A birthday party at Fredbear’s Family Diner is underway, but the guest of honor, a seven year old boy, is terrified of the animatronics (Fredbear and Spring Bonnie). A group of bullies, each wearing a mask of the Fazbear Band and Foxy, begin teasing him and decide to scare him by forcing the child up to Fredbear’s face. Unfortunately, the boy’s head slips into the animatronic’s jaw, which closes down.

A short time later, the emergency crew is on the scene as the boy has suffered severe trauma. Sadly, the boy passes away, as it’s revealed the bite tore out his frontal lobe. The night before the boy is to be laid to rest, a man visits the coffin. He apologizes for what happened, saying the animatronics “are broken”, but swears that he will “put them back together.” The man is dressed in the purple uniform of the diner and has a nametag that reads “William Afton”. As he leaves, someone questions if he is the one who caused the death of an anemic child in front of the restaurant a few weeks earlier, but is given a scowl as an answer.

Short 2:

Some time afterwards, the bullies are enjoying pizza at the diner when they are approached by Spring Bonnie, who is being worn as a suit. It lures them to a back room with a cake, but when they get there, the suit is discarded and the wearer, who is revealed to be William Afton, begins stabbing the children one by one while ranting about how they deserve to die for killing the boy. Finally, he turns to the kid in the Foxy mask, who the guard notices is trying to escape. With a sinister grin lining his face, Afton whispers “You can’t.” Blood is then shown spraying on the window to the room as the screams die away.

Cut to night; the dead bodies are still lying in the back room; suddenly, the slender figure of the Puppet drops down and begins placing animatronic masks over their heads. By the dawn, the four animatronics (Old Freddy, Old Bonnie, Old Chica, and Old Foxy) wake up, their eyes glowing for a split second.

Short 3:

Years pass, and Fredbear’s Family Diner closes down and is eventually reopened as Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza; the original animatronics are put into storage while new ones come in. Then one day, William Afton (who has yet to be caught) returns to the pizzeria, puts on a yellow Freddy suit (as Fredbear was put out of service), and lures children to a back room with a cake once again. This time, Afton (now calling himself Patrick “Purple” Mann) has gone completely insane, as he kills innocent children. Also, he catches the Puppet placing the heads of the animatronics (which happen to be the four toys) and tampers with its programming.

After Patrick “Purple” Mann is arrested, the Puppet becomes a malicious being, reprogramming the toy animatronics to be obedient servants. The Puppet goes on to duplicate Mann’s strategy of luring children to the back with a cake while wearing the yellow Freddy suit, killing them, and finally transferring their souls into the animatronics (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Balloon Boy). At the same time, Mangle causes the Bite of ’87 to a dayshift guard, causing more trouble for the pizzeria.

Short 4:

Flash forward to 1995, after the events of the first movie, Patrick Mann manages to escape from prison after hearing the news of the Puppet’s destruction and the solving of the Missing Children’s Incident. Fearing that everything could connect to him for real, he kills Frank Fazbear, returns to the now closed pizzeria and begins tearing the animatronics apart one by one. Suddenly, he’s attacked by the incredibly damaged toy animatronics, but manages to escape by hiding in a secret room that houses the old Spring Bonnie springlock suit (Springtrap). Hiding in it, Mann is eventually attacked by the Puppet, who kills the murderer by ripping out the safety value of the suit, causing the springlocks to fail. Then, with a whisper of “There are no strings on me,” the Puppet and the toy animatronics leave Mann to his fate and shut down.

A decade passes, and all the animatronics are still in severe disrepair; suddenly, a crew enters the building, gathers the parts, and departs. Springtrap is seen in the secret room, placed as he was with Patrick Mann died; one of the eyes glow for a split second. The final scene is that of the charred Fazbear's Fright rubble during a stormy night. Suddenly, lightning strikes the rubble and a faded yellow hand emerges, followed by an evil laugh and the words “The Beginning” before the screen fades to black.
