Episode 21: We open at the museum with Nick, Jimmy, Charlie, Tim, and John sitting around the office while Mike and Jeremy are away. As a wall clock ticks and the new office fan spins, we focus on Tim as he searches the internet. He rediscovers the story about a young boy who wanted to be an animatronic to the point where he replaced his body parts with prosthetics (see Enter the Virus World episode 12), then notices a link to the story’s continuation. It’s revealed that the boy survived the attempted suicide, was said to have fought and defeated his animatronic half, and then left the country to live out a normal life. Upon finishing the article, Tim shakes his head and says, “Like I said, it’s a story the National Enquirer would eat up.” The camera then turns to Nick, who discovers a report about the daycare attendant being a stage animatronic that turned evil when the lights went out; John deduces this as the explanation for the attendant’s ‘Moon’ persona. It was late on the thirteenth of February 2016 when I joined the crowd that filled the Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas. The intro band had ended, and the lights had all gone out.
